Rui-Lin Chao was born in Taipei, Taiwan on October, 27, 1991. He received his B.S. degree in Undergraduate Honors Program of Nano Science and Engineering, Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan in 2014, and now is pursuing his Ph.D degree in Department of Elecro-Optics, Chiao Tung University, under guidance from advisor Prof. Jyehong Chen, and also under guidance of Co-advisor Prof. Jin-Wei Shi, National Central University, focusing on slow light high speed silicon based modulator, high speed photodetector and high speed laser development and design.
